P.S. Gosto desta maquilhagem. :D

Honestly, I prefer this collection than the last one (fall/winter 09).
When I first saw Dino Alves I thought it was amazing. It was at ModaLisboa, some years ago. What I liked the most was that his show was really different from others, it was really a show: there was bigger concern with details, more "drama", etc.

P.S. I like this make up. :D

He had a graduation in painting in Oporto, at Escola Superior Atística and then a professional degree on photography, and went to Cinemateca Portuguesa. His first steps on fashion were at "Manobras de Maio", in 1994, in Lisbon (an event for new designers to show their work). After that he started creating theater costumes and styling advertising, parties, etc. He has also been at ModaLisboa, showing his collections.

In velvet underground music 60's vanguard experimental andy warhol lou reed nico famous mythical musica banda rock vanguarda artista cantor

The Velvet Underground: what a legend!!!

The Velvet Undergound was an american rock band of the 60's with Lou Reed (voice and guitar), Sterling Morrison (guitar), John Cale (bass) who was replaced by Doug Yule in 1968, Nico (voice), Angus MacAlise (battery) and Maureen Tucker who replaced Angus.

Their sound was experimental, vanguard and not commercial. Their mentor was the artist Andy Wharol, who made the cover of their first album, the one with a banana, and the place where they use to met was the so famous and mythical "Factory". The sogs were about drugs, sex, sadomasochism and even the occult, which was surely a shock for the minds of those times.

Besides not having had commercial success, they are surely a band that went to music history, that influenced a lot of other artists such as David Bowie, Sonic Youth, Depeche Mode, etc. and that still influence people nowadays.
