Douchebag

The term "douchebag" generally refers to a male with a certain combination of obnoxious characteristics related to attitude, social ineptitude, public behavior, or outward presentation.

 Though the common douchebag thinks he is accepted by the people around him, most of his peers dislike him. He has an inflated sense of self-worth, compounded by a lack of social grace and self-awareness. He behaves inappropriately in public, yet is completely ignorant to how pathetic he appears to others.

 He often talks about how cool, successful, and popular he is, yet never catches on to the fact that he comes across as a total loser. Nevertheless, he firmly believes that he is the smartest, most desirable, and most charming person in the room... and will try to bad-rep anyone who would threaten to expose this facade. 

 He fancies himself a ladies’ man, yet tends to be a joke to all but the most naive of women. He tries to portray himself as part of the in-crowd (a fashionista, an upwardly mobile professional, the life of the party, etc.) but only succeeds in his own mind. 

 To everyone else, he is an annoying and arrogant phony who comes across as a wannabe overcompensating for his insecurities. He tries to appear like the center of whatever group will tolerate him, but in reality, he is just a tag-along who mooches drinks, women, contacts, social standing, and other benefits from the group... while contributing nothing.

Música experimental é um estilo musical inovador originado no século XX, que desafiou as concepções normais de como uma música deveria ser e extrapolou os limites popularmente conhecidos. Dessa forma, há pouco acordo sobre quão experimental uma música poderia ser, antes de ser considerada apenas ruído. Geralmente as bandas experimentais possuem instrumentos pouco conhecidos, modificados, ou utilizados de maneiras inovadoras; efeitos estranhos aplicados de maneiras não convencionais e mistura de diversos gêneros opostos, como música eletrônica e música clássica. Além de instrumentos musicais, a música experimental também pode utilizar-se de sons de objetos e efeitos diversos de acordo com a intenção do compositor, experimentando os sons como o próprio nome diz. Quando também é usado música eletronica de maneira mais "pesada", com características noise, este experimentalismo também é chamado de música industrial.

Experimental music refers, in the English-language literature, to a compositional tradition which arose in the mid-20th century, applied particularly in North America to music composed in such a way that its outcome is unforeseeable. Its most famous and influential exponent was John Cage (Grant 2003, 174). More loosely, the term "experimental" is used in conjunction with genre names to describe music within specific genres that pushes against their boundaries or definitions, or else whose approach is a hybrid of disparate styles, or incorporates unorthodox, new, distinctly unique ingredients (Anon. [n.d.]a). Similarly, it has sometimes been used to describe "transethnic" music: the mixture of recognizable music genres. A quite distinct sense was current in the late 1950s to describe computer-controlled composition, and the term at that time also was sometimes used for electronic music and musique concrète. "Experimental music" has also been used in music journalism as a general term of disapprobation for music departing from traditional norms.
